A few tips for overcoming postpartum depression

- Don't blame yourself for doing something wrong. It just happens. This is a fairly common disease.

– Take care of yourself. If the mother does not take care of herself, then she will not be able to take care of the child either. Make time for yourself, come up with a pleasant occupation for yourself, so you will slightly raise the mood for yourself.

– If you find an opportunity, rest. When the baby is sleeping, get some sleep too. First of all, rest, and tidy up will surely wait.

– Use simple relaxation techniques, e.g. listen to calm music.

– Various relaxation techniques and breathing exercises help a lot.

– Talk about how you feel, about your difficulties. It is worth telling about your well-being to the person you trust. Conversations with other moms help a lot, especially well self-help groups.

– Do not get carried away from your husband, the closeness of the two is especially important during this difficult period.

– Ask and accept the help of loved ones, this does not show weakness, and people feel good when they are useful to others.

– Feel free to seek professional help and you will be relieved. This is a disease and there are specialists who can help you.
